Jamie Creek

The Jamie Creek generating facility is located approximately 18km west of Gold Bridge, BC on the south side of Downton Lake reservoir.

The facility consists of two 11.09MW/12.32MVA synchronous generators each rotated by a five nozzle vertical pelton turbine. Both generators are connected to a single generator step-up transformer rated 25/33.33MVA, 6.9kV delta – 69kV wye, and ultimately to a 19km 69kV transmission line to the BC Hydro point of interconnection.

Prime Engineering provided Balance of Plant electrical and controls equipment as well as control system programming and final commissioning services.
